Predominance of soft greens, lilacs and raspberry pink, on a beige background and a red weft
Colorful hand-woven kilim from eastern Turkey, circa 1950 to 1970, composed of two strips sewn together. It was a rather modest production intended
for the domestic market, but it turned out that the design and quality of the product exceeded its initial objective. Today, its tartan pattern has been copied many times over, as has the solid,
rustic structure of its weave. So this one’s an original, and with its cheerful colors, excellent condition and sturdiness, it’s a real favorite.
