This is a rare and very fine Anatolian kilim with a subtle color scheme and showing rare motifs which look like a flower or a vase. Aleppo was a part of the Ottoman empire, and
its kilim production (now a thing of the past since more than one century) is more usually associated with the Anatolian work. It is characterized by fine weaving, reciprocal patterns, and, like
here, rows of hooks. Like most of the kilims from this region, this one has a big size, is woven in two halves (momentarily sewn the wrong way, we can fix that on demand).
